By using Social Mockup Lab ("the Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Social Mockup Lab is a browser-based tool that generates mockups of chat conversations, social media posts and notifications on your own device. The free version is provided at no cost and may be supported by advertising. Social Mockup Lab Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional features such as watermark-free exports, higher resolutions, transparent backgrounds, sequence ZIP export and unlimited saved mockups.
Mockups are for creative, educational and parody use. Don't use them to deceive. You may use the mockups you create for advertising with fictional or consenting participants, storytelling and video, product and UX demonstrations, memes and satire that are recognisable as such, teaching, and previews for scripts or books.
You must not use the Service or its output to: deceive anyone into believing a fabricated conversation, post or notification is genuine; defame, harass, bully or threaten any person; impersonate a real person, company, government body or news organisation; fabricate evidence for legal, insurance, employment or academic purposes; manipulate markets, elections or public opinion; or commit fraud or any other unlawful act. You are solely responsible for how you use what you create.
WhatsApp, Instagram and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.; iMessage and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc.; X is a trademark of X Corp. Social Mockup Lab is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Interface styles are reproduced solely to allow recognisable mockups. Do not present your mockups as official content of these companies.
You retain all rights to the text and images you add. Because processing happens locally in your browser, we never receive, store or have access to your mockups. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any image, name or likeness you include.
You agree not to interfere with the operation of the Service, scrape or redistribute it, or remove, share or circumvent the Pro license mechanism.
A Social Mockup Lab Pro license is a personal, non-transferable, lifetime license for the purchaser. It may be used on the devices you personally own. Refunds are handled by the payment processor according to its policy; if the Service fails to work for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will make it right.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Mockups are approximations of third-party interfaces and may differ from the real apps. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that results will meet your requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from any mockup you create or distribute. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Social Mockup Lab Pro, if any.
The Service may include advertising, analytics, licensing and payment services operated by third parties, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We may modify the Service or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
